Music is the most important entertainment in the world. Music likes a salt that brings resolutely taste for our food. Music needs together with the other entertainment. For example, a film needs music as a back sound of a scene. The dancers need music for dancing. Most people need music for refreshing their brain when stress. The number of people uses music as media to communicate something for other people. Music has cadence, intonation, and lyric that stimulates people to feel something. Music is one way to tell something that you feel.

There are many types of music, such traditional music and international music. The traditional music is the music from an ethic or a community in a country. It is commonly created from traditional instruments that is quite special in an ethic. For example tifa is one of Indonesian traditional instrument. It is from the Maluku. The other hand, international music is the music born from a community, then it developed and was accepted in global community. It is created from the instrument that popular in global are, such piano or guitar. Everybody in the world knows piano or guitar but just a few people in the world or in Indonesian know tifa.

The traditional music of a country as important as the international music that is heard everywhere nowadays. But, the popularity of international music threatens the existence of traditional music. Most people think the international music is cooler than the traditional music. Whereas, although old fashioned, the traditional music was created by traditional instruments of a country. It shows the identity of the country. If we ignore it, we will lose knowledge about our cultural riches. International music can exist for long time because it is kept by global community that fond it. But the existence of traditional music depends on how we keep it. If we don’t care, next generation in our country will forget our cultural riches.
